Igor Durlovski, basso, was born in Bitola, Macedonia, in 1977. He graduated the Skopje Faculty of Music with Professor Biljana Jovanovska Jakimovska. The world got acquainted with Igor Durlovski as a performer of opera and concert singer as well. He treats different music styles, from Plutone in `Euridice` by Giacoppo Peri to the Priest in Gotfried von Einem`s `Old Lady`s Visit`, with wide range of emotions.
Igor Durlovski debuted in 1999 and swept the hearts of the audience in his home theater in Macedonia like storm. That audience generously applauded him when performing belcanto roles in the Donizetti, Bellini, and Rossini operas, the lyric and drama of Pucinni, as well the heroic roles of the French and Russian repertoire. The Macedonian Opera utilized his `instrument` during the 2000 – 2002 period in the productions of `Lucia di Lammermoor`, `Il Trovatore`, `Don Giovanni`, `Turandot`, `Il barbiere di Siviglia`, `La forza del destino`, `Rigoletto`, `Aida`, etc.
His grasping Slavic timbre is a real treasure that becomes well known in many opera houses around the world. His debute beyond the Macedonian border was as Nonacourt in Wiener Kammeroper production of Nino Rota`s `Il capello di paglia di Firenze` in 2001 under auspice of conductor Paul Weigold. That is when Kammermeistersinger Olivera Miljakovic started sculpting Durlovski`s resplendent vocal technique in her studio. Durlovski will be also remembered by the performances of roles in Macedonian national operas, such as `Lydia of Macedonia` and `Tzar Samuil`. The Association of Macedonian Composers, SOKOM, awarded him in 2003 with the `Georgi Bozhikov` Award for best performance of a piece by Macedonian composer. That same year he becomes laureate at the International `Jeunesses Musicales` competition in Belgrade, Serbia. He becomes part of the new Wiener Kammeroper production of `Ballo delle Ingrati i Euridice` in 2004.
Durlovski is also a concert singer performing in works such as Beethoven`s IX Symphony, Requiem`s by Verdi and Mozart, `Radomir Psalter` by Dimitrie Buzharovski, `To Clement` oratorio by Vlastimir Nikolovski, `Winter` Symphony by Risto Avramovski, etc. The performances of Igor Durlovski are well known in Wiener Kammeroper and Wien Koncerthaus in Vienna, Austria, National Opera and Theater in Sarajevo, Bosnia, Croatian National Theaters in Zagreb, Osijek, and Rijeka, Croatia, Opera Tirana, Albania, Bitola Opera, Ohrid Summer Festival, etc. He cooperates with Vienna Residence Orchestra, East-West symphonic orchestra, Belgrade Philcharmonic, Sofia Philcharmonic, `Alea` Ensemble for contemporary music. Igor Durlovski lives and works in Vienna, Austria, and improves in the Kammermeistersinger Olivera Miljkovic studio.
