Tue, 08/10/2010 - 22:15
The house of one of the greatest poets in the period between the two world wars had been completely restored in 1962. The ground-floor was build of stone, and at the floor built of bondruk (light wooden skeleton construction) is dominating the white faзade with wooden edges. The roof is high and covered with tiles. The two-wing wooden door leads to the porch that is a small space that connects the floor, the batch, the terraces and the potter workshop. The workshop is large, and in its floor there is a small dugout. The terrace of the house from one side is connected with the batch, and at the opposite side there are stairs that lead to the upper terrace.
In the memorial house of Kocho Racin today can be found his original handwritings and many other memories about his life and work.
This house is considered as one of the most beautiful marks of the old Veles architecture. On the first floor of the house, is the terrace that on the left is transformed into reception room. In the right, the terrace is shared in two parts. The reception room has a door in an irregular form. The windows have horizontal and vertical bars that are finished in baroque form. On the second floor is a terrace in an irregular form.
The house of Jordan Hadzi - Konstantinov - Dzinot, one of the most important Macedonian educators was built close to the Vardar River, in one Veles aleey. The house is distinguished from regular urban architecture with walls made of broken stone, a yellow frontage, wood pillars and decorative wood elements. The terrace is dynamic, built on the three levels and suspended in the form of square lift above the stone.
Because of the specific traditional architecture and the historical significance of the house, it has been proclaimed for a cultural monument, and after its complete restoration, it will be turned into a memorial museum dedicated to the life and work of Jordan Hadzi Konstantinov-Dzinot.
